Where is the speed meeter?  ⌨️🦖

There is none

On purpose.

Accuracy is more important

While you're learning the accuracy of your typing is the only thing that matters. There is no point in even trying to type fast until you can type properly. So the speed comes into the picture only after you mastered all the levels and can fluently touch type in day to day work.

Only then you can try out your typing speed on any other website. But even then you will find out that in order to improve you have to work on accuracy more than anything else.

How to improve your speed

There is one common quality among fast typist and that is: 100% accuracy.

The way to improve your speed is to work on four things:

• typing entire words instead of individual letters
• optimizing fingers movement
• reading ahead
• and accuracy

There is a saying: Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast.

How to improve accuracy

Type slower and think about accuracy during every practice. You have to actually put concious thought and effort into it. If you practice every day but mindlessly typing away the text you wont improve.

Type as slow as you have to to reach you accuracy goal. If your accuracy gets worst either slow down or take a break. Do not practice if you are making a lot of mistakes! That will build up habit of making them.

Speed will come by itself as you will practice more but accuracy wont improve automatically unless you concentrate on it.

Mindless practice is not practice

Have a good posture, relax, make as small finger movements as possible, concentrate on accuracy and only then go back to typing...
